This mini-standard holly will look great in a pot, particularly when placed beside a doorway or entrance. It has been field grown, but recently potted up into a 3-litre pot, and clipped to create a beautiful crown of lustrous foliage (measuring around 35cm in diameter), which sits on top of the 40cm high stem. Known for its winter hardiness, it will also produce red berries in winter if there is a male holly nearby.
Garden care: Keep well watered, particularly during warm weather and feed with a general purpose fertiliser such as Vitax Q4 from mid-spring to late summer. Trim the crown to keep a neat outline in late summer.
